Does anybody recognize of any tricks or mechanical things that can be done to a car to increase gas mileage? i have a 2001 ford escape and the gas mileage i get out of it is absolutely horendous, its like 15 mpg. any tips would be appreciated.

is there anything sleazy i can do to my 2000 Grand Am SE to give it better gas mileage? Mine is horrible... almost 200 miles to a tank. Thanks.

This debatable gets asked in here a lot!
Aside from the mileage on the car already, I must direct you back to regular maintenance. Spark plugs, puff wires, a clean air filter and fuel filter.

I have a Honda Prelude Si. It cast-off to get good gas mileage (30+ MPG), but within the past four months the mileage has plummeted to <25 mpg. I can use 1/4 of a tank to go 30 miles!
