Fuel??????

I'm changing my fuel percolate, Can i relieve the pressure of the system by unhooking the battery insted of pulling the relay? Everytime i take a relay out one of the prongs smash and If i can just unhook the battery thats gonna save me 15 dollars.

deliver the pressure from you cars fuel system by pulling the gas cap and letting the car sit for 15 minutes. less mess when changing the strainer. wear some eye protection when doing this and good luck.

My the missis had a quarter tank of fuel according to the gauge, when the car ran out of gas. The mechanic said the fuel pump needs replaced since that is where the sensor is. This si a $700 put, and he advised that the car will still run without replacing

If there was still gas in the tank, and the fuel grill is weak the car would stop running as if the car was out of gas.
There is also the chance that when the tank has more gas in it that the pump can overcome a plugged fuel exclude.

I have a 90' GMC suburban. That recently destitute down. Engine shut off and would not start.

Fuel pump is working fine, fuel filter etc. Throttle linkage is also exquisite. My guess is something electronic, maybe a safety feature is causing

1...Try to vaporizer starting fluid in throttle body while somebody turns the key and cranks engine.If it starts then you distinguish its a fuel delivery problem.If it runs then you need to find out why its not getting fuel

Can Changing A Fuel Filter Cause The Fuel Pump To Break?

I identify it sounds stupid to me too, but I heard somewhere that if your fuel filter is changed it can break the pump because the pump is utilized to working with a clogged fuel filter. Is this true? I just don't want to be worried that I could be messing

No,changing and in hint cord fuel filter will not cause the pump to "break",
Its designed as a maintenence ingredient that can be changed at certain intervals.
If the fuel pump goes out,it wont be because of changing the filte
