I have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt. What keyboard of motor oil will give me the highest fuel efficiency? I would imagine synthetic 5W-30, but does the oil really matter?
Motor oils difference viscosity with temperature ei: cold climate =thicker oil, hot climate =thin oil. This can effect fuel usage due to additional friction from the oil itself. The manufacturer will specify a viscosity rating based on climate temp. PS
How Much Will A Turbocharger Or Supercharger Effect Fuel Efficiency?
Apr 21, 2008 by John | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
For those of you that have either upgrade in their car, how much is your fuel efficiency effected? If I buy an RSX or a Celica and opt for either privilege how much will my regular 26 mpg and 28 mpg respectively be effected by each upgrade. I understand
a supercharger will use more gas than a turbo because the supercharger is beat driven off your engine and the turbo is run off the exhaust, if you keep your foot out of the turbo your gas mileage should go unchanged.
Air Conditioning, Does Fuel Efficiency Decrease With The Temp?

Is fuel efficiency exactly proportional to the temperature setting? In other words, when you turn on the AC, does it burn more fuel the lower you se the temperature because it's working harder? Thanks!
The fuel efficiency is not shortly proportional to the temperature setting because the compressor clutch is ether engaged (on) or disengaged (off). The compressor only knows one fly and that is the speed of the drive belt. If and only IF, the cabin
Does A Camper Shell On A Truck Increase Fuel Efficiency?

I was wondering if adding a camper top to a pickup junk would increase the truck's fuel efficiency. Anyone know? If so, by how much?
No. By adding load it'll decrease your fuel economy. Driving with your tailgate down doesn't help your mileage either. With the tailgate up, it creates a "foam" of air in the bed causing the moving air to glide right over the top and not hit
