Has Anybody Really Converted Their Car To Run On Water?

I've seen an article about converting gas engines to run water,not in fact on water,but a gas that in converted from water.Supposedly this will double your gas mileage,but it sounds too good to be true to me.
Reliance me, the only way to get your car to run on water is to attach pontoons to each side.

Is this tenable to make this work?I did read that you only need to install attachment for gasoline or diesel engines to run your car on water and Greatest of all you can leave all existing car parts untouched.

my locomotive is running hot, it was overhauled just a short while ago,
the water is up, I changed the thermostat, one odd thing is that
the temp. gauage reads general but when I put on a remote infra red temp. sensor it reads 210 to 220
You didn't discriminate us what kind of car, or what year.
Most cars today are designed to run somewhere around 200 deg.F, and anything up to about 225 deg.F isn't going to origin any damage, even for older rcars.
