Hi, I'm 16, and I have a 1973 Scout Worldwide 2. Even though I love her to death, she's not gentle on gas, and the money is going to come out of my infinitly midget paycheck. I would really apreciate some tips and advice(that don't involve selling) that
Sounds like a presumptuous car! Unfortunately the larger older cars we own and love also consume large amount of gas due to less efficient engines which utilized far less computer systems if any. Well, I would say keep her properly tuned up. The good

I have a 2000 Escape from Neon and would like to know some tips to help get better gas mileage. I have a K&N permanent air filter that I clean at least once every 6 months, but would like other ideas that would steal.
Really ladies, if you keep a car in "top tune", sometimes even that doesn't work, but it does help.
The worst way that I have found to keep good gas mileage:

You know I have to ask? Do you get better gas mileage with higher octane gas? Some cars recommend
you get the same milage with a close-fisted amount of gas in the tank,or full tank!! it's the shape of the tank that make people think they get less millage, thats because the tank is all things considered smaller at the bottom, the more gas in the tank

My old soccer carriage has a Hummer. He was telling me how he was going to put a turbo on it. He said by doing this he would get more HP and better gas mileage. I asked him to explain how that is accomplishable. He told me by slamming more air into
What he says it verified ONLY IF the turbo boost is very low. It just overcomes the air resistance in any intake. It is like using ultra low provision intakes. But we are talking about 2 or 3 psi.
Do You Get Better Gas Mileage If Your Tank Is Close To Full, Or Close To Empty?

My mom said that your car gets better gas mileage if the tank to closer to being full. But I memory I remember hearing that you get better gas mileage when the tank is close to empty. Which one is it?
Practicality would say that the less weight the better mileage.
There are some bad effects though from running your tank on near empty, like your fuel pump sucking up all the rude dirt/sludge on the bottom of the tank.
