Do Some Amp Meters Require A Shunt? |
Do some amp meters sine qua non shunts before they'll work? I picked up a used 0-50 amp meter on e-bay and hooked it up to a hho cell I'm working on and it doesn't work at all. I've heard about using shunts, but don't understand if some meters need
If you bought it as a 50A meter, it doubtlessly is, shunted or not.
"Doesn't work at all" suggests you are trying to do something with it that it won't handle.

I have this HHO generator and loks to work personal property but the only problem I have is that everytime I use it it drains my battery all the way.I do not know why really is exactly the problem,the alternator theorize to give 100 amps and the generator
The alternator doesn't turn out 100 amps at normal speeds,that's a maximum rating.While cruising it's probably much less.The hydrogen generator is like to a short circuit and consumes lots of current.To balance this out,some resistance needs to be installed

Ok, So I have built an HHO generator, but what I am wondering is Do I lack to hook up an efie thingy between the computer and the o2 sensor on the car?
Will I not notice any performance unless I use the efie quirk, or will I notice more
You only necessity an EFIE if your oxygen sensor is making the computer dump fuel in because it's reading too lean. You'll presumably need a way to check the exhaust emissions to know for sure, but try the HHO generator alone.
