I Just Installed A K&N Short Ram Intake On My Car. Is A Water Shield Recommended? If So, Where Can I Find One?

I was told that water and debris can get sucked up in there and entirely ruin my engine. Is this a real threat or just a myth?

that's exact as far as the water goes, that's why I always tell people to just put a K&N air filter in their stock airbox.

Got Water In My Engine. Runs Terrible Anything I Can Do?

Drove thru duration water and sucked water into my air intake. Car stalled and wouldn't not restart. Took it to the shop they replaced the starter and changed the oil - drained water out of locomotive. Runs, but very badly. Makes a clicking noise

well now, your timely to not have bent the conrods ( pushrods) if you still drove the car it is more likely you did bend one of them. as water can not compress. 2) you can still have water in the provocation line e.g.. filter, injectors,3) check you ecu

What Is This Black Carbon Build Up In My Intake Manifold?

My cars intake assorted has water ports and fuel air ports and the fuel air ports are almost totally cloged up with this black carbon hogwash. What and how did this get in their?

paul is almost fittingly, very close. but actually that is from running the engine at speeds below its maximum torque speed. in a hot machine the warm intake air "oxidizes" the fuel being mixed with it before it is even compressed. in a fuel

What Happens If I Get Water In My Engine Through My Air Intake?

I have a 2000 Neon and I have a stale air intake installed. Last week I drove through a puddle that was across the road(there was no way around it) The puddle ended up being about a foot heavy wich I would assume in turn caused my car to suck up water

If you get enough amount of water in the combustion chamber, the connecting rod will bend or break. This is because water does NOT compress like gas/air m. Either that or it will blow the head gasket if that happens to be the weakest link.
