Honda Accord Trouble- Here Yesterday, Gone Today! Do I Still Take It To The Mechanic? |
Jul 13, 2009 by YODEL | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a 2000 Honda Coincide SE with 104,000 miles on it. Never gave me an ounce of trouble until this weekend.
I drove it to town at unceasingly & noticed a "whistle/hiss" sound coming from the passenger side floorboard
I'd definately have it checked out to reinforce there is no problem if that's the case. Sounds like it could be a leak in the cooling system somewhere. The battery dying is not relative to any hissing sounds.

1. Pressure build up in expansion tank pulls water level down. Supposed to be standard but warning light comes on until cap is removed to allow
I credence in that the only thing that could cause this is the Head Gasket leaking into the water system. I know you said it has been tested but there you are thats the only emotional attachment I think can do this
