Forthrightly, YES it does work. I have done this to my 2004 Scion xb and currently get about 50 (yes, fifty) miles per gallon.

I'm belief if it worked then wouldn't everyone be doing it and the gas companies would be forced to lower prices?? I'm skeptical.
