My car is a 2000 Ford Taurus. I have OCD very very bad. Thursday morning I went exterior and noticed a small softball sized puddle under my car behind the passenger side tire. I checked the puddle and it seemed to be nothing more than plain water.
i would go back to the same mechanic and make plain what has happened i.e if you trust him.i recently had a similar problem and it finally turned out to be a water pump.

Measure car battery (PowerVolt - an Interstate Brand). Not deep cycling or gel or anything other than a run of the mill car battery. It has water in cells.

When I got out of my car, I noticed that it sounded as if the car was still operation, but my engine was completely turned off. It was making a low rumbling /bubbling sound almost as if you were boiling water on the stove and it just started to spume.
