I drove my saturn ion through deep water, and it stalled. It turns over but will not quite startup.
You trouble to have it looked at, there are lots of electronic components that could have been damaged, and need checking.
It may dry out, but depending on the electronics on there, I worry it.

I drove my '01 Chrysler Sebring Match up LXI through a puddle which turned out to be very deep. Half way through it shut off. I put the car in nuetral and pushed it out. The battery is fully charged and all accessaries effort. The car will not start.
The nicest thing to do is to have the car towed to a mechanic & prepare yourself for lots of bad news.
The following answer is presuming the apparatus isn't locked up yet, there isn't much else wrong & towing the car to a mechanic isn't

I pushed it of the water about 5 hours ago and it still wont start. the battery is working but the machine wont start. how can i get it to work so i can go home from work in a couple of hours?

you should try drying your ignition system(cap,rotor if you have these) vent could be full of water(this will cause too much back pressure and not allow starting) check your spark plugs you may have fouled them out by annoying to start the car. worst
